Slush Puppie Canada Inc. is a well-established family business since 1975. Slush Puppie International was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1970. It is now owned by the ICEE Company, a division of J & J Snack Foods Corporation, a company listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Slush Puppie Canada Inc. has a state-of-the-art plant and bottling facility in Gatineau, in the Outaouais Region. In association with the Harlan Fairbanks company, our distribution network services the Canadian market from coast to coast: Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut and Western Canada. Thousands of sale points across Canada, a solid network and a dedicated team make Slush Puppie Canada a leader in its category.
Slush Puppie Canada, a family business
Originally from Blue Sea in the Haute-Gatineau region, André Beaudoin founded Slush Puppie Canada in 1975. A philanthropic businessman with a strong commitment to his community, André Beaudoin’s legacy is more than a company, it is a philosophy and a vision.
In 1998, Jean-Rock Beaudoin (André’s son) who had been with the company since the age of 13, became the company’s new CEO and took the company even further, while preserving the family values.
With the addition of new products, growing sales and an expanded highly established distribution network, Jean-Rock Beaudoin has for several years now been able to say that the company’s succession plan is mission accomplished! Jean-Rock has many projects on the drawing board for Slush Puppie Canada, which is constantly expanding. And the company’s succession plan does not stop there since a 3rd generation has already made its entrance with the arrival of Andréanne Beaudoin (Jean-Rock’s daughter), who joined this great entrepreneurial adventure in 2024!
